Fiesta Music

3 original scores

In a bid to promote the richness of musical practice in our region and continue the collaborative work already carried out during previous editions, lille3000 commissioned composer  Julien Joubert to write a musical tale for Fiesta. It was written for music schools, amateur wind ensembles, choirs, primary and secondary schools.

lille3000 also commissioned composer Simon Fache to write a score for wind ensemble, consisting of a concert piece and a series of shorter compositions.

Over 350 establishments have signed up and rehearsals began in autumn 2024.

Musical tale for Fiesta – Creation

lille3000 asked Julien Joubert, an expert in writing vocal works for children, to compose a musical tale especially for the new themed edition, Fiesta

This tale of around an hour is written for an orchestral ensemble (music schools, amateur wind ensembles, etc.) and a choir of music school or school pupils.

Thanks to this collaborative project, each partners uses their own creative potential to work towards a joint performance.

Composition for harmony Orchestra – Creation

lille3000 commissioned composer Simon Fache to produce a score of music for wind ensemble, consisting of a concert piece and a series of orchestral pieces, which can be played in a concert setting or when the ensemble is moving around, for example. The entire composition lasts around one hour.

Thanks to the talent of Simon Fache, all the “banda” pieces can be played by a smaller group than a full ensemble, so that musicians from different ensembles can come together and play the composition, thus favouring a mix of structures and styles.
