On tour

The MuMo is returning, between April and July 2025, to take an exhibition designed specially for Fiesta all around Lille European Metropolis. Pump up the volume explores connections between music and contemporary art.

The exhibition will have sounds bouncing off the walls of the Mobile Museum! The truck has been transformed into a physical and symbolic soundbox for around 30 works from the collections of the CNAP, the LaM and the FRAC Grand Large – Hauts-de-France, Picardie and Franche-Comté. Music will reach out to us through a wide selection of artforms – posters, films, photographs, sculptures, drawings, paintings and performance. That’s what the exhibition’s all about: creating a dialogue between the eye and the ear, whether you’re sensitive to a note or a colour, a piece of music or a painting, an instrument or a visual technique.

Highlights: sculptures by Cécile Bouffard, official posters for the Fête de la Musique by artists and graphic designers (Laurent Fétis, M/M, KNOX and Pascal Colrat), photographs by Martin Parr and Oan Kim, drawings by Pépé Vignes, posters by Saâdane Afif, as well as collages by Christian Marclay, films by Céleste Boursier, Jeremy Deller, Ellen Cantor and John Cussans, etc.

As was the case for Eldorado in 2019 and Utopia in 2022, the travelling planetarium from the Departmental Science Forum will be reaching out to children in different districts of Lille and the city-region.

As part of their 2024-2025 cultural season, the Departmental Science Forum team is proposing a special Fiesta session looking at astronomy and the festive calendar. The travelling planetarium will be on tour for the duration of Fiesta.
