Heatwave in Lille: what remains open on Wednesday, July 2

Thank you for your understanding, and take care of yourselves during this heatwave. 💧☀️

Focus on… the Paris-Roubaix symphonic cycling tour!

What if you could (re)discover Paris-Roubaix in a different way… by bike, of course, but above all through music? From May 9 to June 8, the Orchestre des Forces Majeures will embark on a cycling tour covering more than 450 km between Paris and Roubaix, punctuated by open-air concerts, meetings, and festive stops.

This unique project combines sporting adventure, musical creation, and local culture. At each stage, the musicians hop on their bikes and go out to meet the locals, in the spirit of sharing that drives the orchestra.

🎶 In the Lille metropolitan area, you can find them in Gruson, Forest-sur-Marque, Wasquehal, Lille-Fives, Hem, and Tourcoing (as part of the Là-Haut Biennale with the Atelier Lyrique), until the final arrival in Roubaix on June 8 at the Condition Publique.

The program for each stop:
📍 Gruson — Tuesday, June 3 (7:00–8:30 p.m.)
📍 Forest-sur-Marque — Wednesday, June 4 (starting at 7:00 p.m.)
📍 Wasquehal — Thursday, June 5 (starting at 11:00 a.m.)
📍 Lille-Fives — Thursday, June 5 (from 4 p.m.)
📍 Hem — Friday, June 6 (from 3 p.m.)

Fiesta on the Grand’Place

Have you seen it? 👀
In anticipation of the launch of Fiesta, the City of Lille, lille3000 and the Théâtre du Nord have invited artists Benoit+Bo to dress the façade of the monument during the works with a visual creation that celebrates the festival through cultural references and a contemporary aesthetic.

Hanabi Dance, Benoit+Bo

This work, installed on the façade of the Théâtre du Nord, transforms the landscape into a theatrical stage. Two masked characters, inspired by popular Asian theatre, perform a festive dance amid fireworks and brilliant colours, celebrating universal vitality.
